Five Arrested in Bokaro District for Burglary, Stolen Gold and Cash Recovered

Bokaro police have apprehended five individuals from Kasmar and Jaridih on Saturday, accused of theft. The arrests followed a complaint about a burglary in Bahadurpur, leading the Special Investigation Team to use technical evidence and intelligence to track down the suspects, all with prior criminal records.

Bokaro: Five miscreants have been arrested from their hideouts located under Kasmar and Jaridih police station limits of Bokaro district on Saturday on charges of theft, police said. Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh said, “Acting on a complaint lodged by Bahadurpur villager Shashi Shekhar about a burglary at his residence on the intervening night of August 27 and 28, our Special Investigation Team used technical evidence and human intelligence to track and arrest the accused. They are all history-sheeters.” The arrested accused were identified as Ravi Kumar Kherwar (30), Angrakshak Kherwar (25) and Kohinoor Kherwar (22), Ashutosh Kumar alias Sunny (18), all residents of Kothar in Ramgarh, and Abhay Kumar Saw (25) of Chhatarpur in Ramgarh, the SP added.A huge amount of stolen items, including gold and silver ornaments, around Rs 4,500 in cash, besides tools used to in stealing, and a car used in crime were seized from the accused, police added.
