93 MBBS students submit petition to univ for rescheduling exams
According to the notice, the commission had issued four public notices in Nov and Dec last year asking medical colleges to submit details of stipends paid to MBBS interns and resident doctors for the financial year 2023-24. This notice, more than three-and-a-half months after the last one, comes a week before the next hearing of the case on payment of stipends in the Supreme Court on April 8.
Daltonganj: In an unprecedented move, 93 MBBS students of the 2023 batch at MMCH Daltonganj submitted a signed petition to Nilamber Pitamber University, not only seeking postponement of their May 19 exam but also proposing dates and subjects for each paper.University controller of examinations Ajit Seth said the students wanted exams from June 21.Vice chancellor Dinesh Kumar Singh said, "I have seen students demanding extension of exam dates. But here students want deferment of their exams. They are suggesting the dates of the exams. It's a height of their temerity."He added, "The university in the larger interest of these MBBS students has decided to hold the 2023 batch exam as per pre notified date May 19. There is going to be no change in it."
