Schoolgirl crushed to death in Gaya

Gaya: A class IX student, Priyanka Kumari, of English village was crushed to death by a truck on Wednesday morning.The incident took place near Hanuman Chowki under Chandauti police station area, while the girl was going to school. To protest the incident, local people blocked the road. Chandauti block development officer and SHO Anil Kumar Chaudhary reached the spot and pacified the angry people. The BDO provided Rs 20,000 to the kin of deceased under family welfare scheme. Police seized the truck but the driver managed to escape. "Police are trying to identify the driver and ensure his arrest," the SHO said
