Patna: Seven major decisions marked the one month of CM Samrat Choudhary’s govt, which took oath of office on April 15 this year after JD(U) chief
Nitish Kumar relinquished the CM post on April 14.
The seven major decisions his govt made in the last month’s four cabinet meetings include developing 11 satellite townships across 10 districts, the Police Didi Scheme for the safety and security of girl students, ‘Sahyog ki Triveni’ to help people, a model school in every block, curbing arbitrary practices in private schools, prioritising contractors from Bihar, and an e-registration system.
Inheriting the legacy and vision of Nitish and his concept of ‘development with justice’, Samrat has made significant decisions towards the NDA goal of building a prosperous Bihar. A policy of zero tolerance against corruption and crime is clearly evident in these measures.
CM Samrat has been actively working to broaden his public profile as a tough administrator by advocating for police action against criminals.
The CM has transferred several senior IAS officials, including on Friday, and made changes within the CMO (chief minister’s office) by shifting long-time Nitish confidants Kumar Ravi and Chandrashekhar Singh. Significant responsibilities have been entrusted to IPS officers Vikas Vaibhav and Sudhanshu Kumar, who had long been sidelined.
