Ghaziabad man stabs wife to death, attacks daughter when she tries to intervene
Ghaziabad: A 56-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death with a kitchen knife following a quarrel over the woman's job. The accused also attacked the couple's eldest daughter when she tried to intervene.According to police, the accused, Ghanshyam, was unhappy with his wife's job, which would apparently keep her away from home for most of the day. He allegedly suspected that Meenu deliberately picked the job to stay away from the family and wanted her to quit.

On March 3, the couple had another quarrel over the matter. Ankur Vihar ACP Gyan Prakash Rai said Ghanshyam apparently picked up a knife lying nearby and stabbed Meenu to death in a fit of rage. His elder daughter, Himanshi (24), who tried to intervene, was also seriously injured in the attack. A complaint was filed by the couple's younger daughter under BNS sections 103(1) (murder) and 109(1) (attempt to murder). Ghanshyam was arrested from Lalbagh Keekro early on March 4 and sent to judicial custody. Cops also recovered the knife he used to kill Meenu from the accused.
