Man killed, wife & son critical after hit by car

Amravati: A 44-year-old man was killed on the spot and his wife and eight-year-old son were left critically injured in a road accident on the Amravati-Akola highway near Loni on Thursday afternoon.The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Qureshi, a resident of Tajnagar. His wife, Gulnaz Qureshi and son, Mohammad Abdaan sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment.According to reports, Qureshi had gone with his wife to a madrasa at Soneri in the Loni area to pick up their son. The family was returning to Amravati on their two-wheeler when a speeding car rammed into them from behind. Locals immediately carried out rescue efforts and rushed both injured victims to the hospital.
