Backstory:
Maxx Crosby was almost traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens for a massive blockbuster contract.
After a failed physical, the Baltimore Ravens chose to give up on Maxx Crosby.
When the new league year approached, Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson signed a massive contract with the Baltimore Ravens.
Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson enter the fray over Bill Rosinski’s Baltimore Ravens rejection letter
Bill Rosinski wrote an open-hearted confession on X. He stated that the Baltimore Ravens were seeking a play-by-play announcer and that he had applied for the position.
But then he was rejected. He shared a screenshot of the rejection letter.
He believes he has extensive experience as the voice of two NFL teams, 10 years at ESPN Radio covering college football, and three stints at Westwood One.
Despite having wealth of experience, he finds it laughable to read the “requirements” line in the rejection letter.
It read: “At this time, we have decided to pursue other candidates whose background and experience are more closely aligned with the requirements of the position.”
When he shared his irony on X, a commenter, in fact, the very first most-loved/most relevant comment read:
“They would’ve failed your physical as soon as they found someone else who would do it for cheaper anyway.”
This little comment looks like a massive dig at the Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson situation in Baltimore.
Looks like the Ravens fans are not happy about Hendrickson’s addition and Crosby’s rejection.
We have the 2026 NFL season to really wonder who does best where. But for now, let’s check out other comments for this Baltimore blunder…
Cybercitizens react to Ravens’ rejection letter
A commenter said that Bill Rosinski tweeting about his rejection could have been the reason why the Baltimore Ravens did not want him to represent them.
Another fan said that if Bill Rosinski does not know any other candidate who has applied for the role,
and their respective qualifications, he has no business complaining about, as the rejection letter “seems like a reasonable email.”
Another speculated, “Maybe they weren’t looking to hire a 73-year-old to be their play-by-play voice going forward. Just a hunch.”
A post read, “That’s H.R. speak for ‘We’re hiring someone we know.’”
A fan blamed AI [artificial intelligence] and said that AI could have been the one to reject Bill Rosinski.
Another suggested that Bill Rosinski should be thankful he got a response rather than being ghosted.
The Gunz Show host Mike Gunzelman stood up for Bill Rosinski stating:
“The Baltimore Ravens said Bill Rosinski didn’t have the ‘requirements’ and ‘experience’ to be their Play By Play Announcer.
Rosinski did PBP for the [Atlanta] Falcons, [Carolina] Panthers, and oh yeah, was the lead announcer for a Super Bowl.”
