Shivamogga: The District Youth Congress Committee staged a massive protest in Shivamogga on Wednesday against the alleged leak of NEET question paper. They attempted to lay siege to the residence of MP BY Raghavendra in Vinoba Nagar.
Led by District Youth Congress president Harshit Gowda, the protesters marched from Police Chowki Circle, accusing the BJP-led NDA govt of failing to maintain the integrity of national competitive exams and jeopardising the future of millions of students. High drama prevailed as activists tried to breach the security barricades, resulting in a scuffle with the police that led to several workers being detained and taken into custody.

The protesters submitted a memorandum to the president through local authorities, demanding accountability and alleged that the current administration ruined a merit-based system that was intended to help rural and middle-class students.
