Income tax act outreach boosts awareness

Mumbai: The income tax department alongwith Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) on Friday held an outreach initiative aimed at creating awareness and enhancing stakeholder understanding of the provisions of the new Income-tax Act, 2025 and the Income-tax Rules, 2026. Nirupama Kotru, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation and Transfer Pricing) and Mohit Jain, Chief Commissioner said the provisions are aimed at enhancing transparency, reducing complexities, and promoting ease of compliance.
