Dombivli man held for sexually assaulting daughters, including 10-year-old

Kalyan: A 43-year-old unemployed man from Dombivli was arrested on Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting his two daughters, including a 10-year-old minor, over several years, police said.According to the FIR, the accused allegedly abused his 19-year-old elder daughter for the last four years. The assaults came to light recently when he allegedly targeted his younger 9-year-old daughter, prompting the elder sibling to reveal the details to their mother.The mother immediately approached the local Manpada police station, leading to the registration of an offence under relevant sections of the POCSO Act and IPC. The accused was arrested shortly after.Police said the man was taken into custody and investigations were ongoing. Police said the accused took advantage of being at home and allegedly sexually abused the elder daughter by threatening her not to reveal it to anybody.Police said the couple had four daughters and one son, and the wife worked to support the family.
