Special train between Thiruvananthapuram and Velankanni

Madurai: Railways has announced a summer special train (trains on demand) between Thiruvananthapuram and Velankanni to clear the extra rush of passengers. Thiruvananthapuram North - Velankanni Express special will depart from Thiruvananthapuram North at 11am on Wednesdays on May 13, 20 and 27 and arrive Velankanni at 3am the next day. The Velankanni - Thiruvananthapuram Central Express special depart Velankanni at 12.45pm on Thursdays on May 14, 21 and 28, and arrive Thiruvananthapuram Central at 5.45am the next day. The coach composition includes two AC two-tier, two AC three-tier, three AC three-tier economy, six sleeper class, four general second class, a differently abled accessible second-class coaches and a luggage-cum-brake van.
