Three of a family win civic polls in Doraha

Ludhiana: An Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) family achieved a rare political trifecta in the Doraha municipal elections by winning three separate council seats.Priya Sharma won ward five by 47 votes, while her husband, Sudarshan Kumar Sharma, captured ward eight with a 211-vote majority, citing his 35 years of community service. Their son, Anmol Sharma, completed the family sweep by securing ward six by 113 votes against his Congress rival.The family’s perfect record anchored AAP’s narrow eight-seat majority in the 15-ward council, finishing ahead of Congress’s five seats and two independent candidates.
