Kolhapur: Shri Warana Vibhag Shikshan Mandal has received approval to set up the first private veterinary and animal sciences institute in the Pune division. The Ministry of fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying has issued a letter of permission for the Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Veterinary and Animal Science, with an approved intake of 80 students.
Vinay Kore, MLA and chairman of the Warana Industrial and Educational Complex, said, "The approval was granted after rigorous inspections that were conducted by expert committees of Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU), Nagpur".
He further added that admissions will begin frm the academic year 2026–27. The institute will offer the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) programme, with admissions through NEET.
