Body found floating in Chambakara canal

Kochi: Body of a man was found floating in Chambakara canal on Tuesday morning. Police have not identified the deceased yet.According to police, passersby spotted the body around 6.20am in Thaikudam region. Police were alerted and the body was retrieved. Police completed inquest proceedings and moved the body to a hospital for autopsy. The body, found wearing a black t-shirt and black tracksuit, is suspected to be aged between 30 and 40. Police suspect that the man died at least three days ago as the body has begun to decompose. Maradu police registered a case of unnatural death and began an investigation.Meanwhile, Ernakulam North police registered a case of unnatural death after a man was found dead on Tuesday. The body of Ramakrishna Pilawi of Nepal was found next to the bathroom of a shop along St Vincent Road around 10.30am. The body was moved to a hospital for autopsy after inquest proceedings. tnn
