KDA demolishes illegal construction

Kanpur: In a major campaign against illegal construction and unauthorised plotting, Kanpur Development Authority on Monday demolished the illegal constructions spread in around 8.5 bigha of land.The KDA’s enforcement team razed a guest house being constructed at Bairi Akbarpur without getting its layout map sanctioned. The enforcement team has also identified illegal plotting in 9.5 bigha land and action against it would take place on May 15.Ravi Pratap Singh, special officer (Enforcement) Zone-1 B and a sub-divisional magistrate led the team in demolition of the under construction guest house being raised in three bigha of land by Hari Mohan Gupta and others.Apart from that, the team identified around 5.5 bigha of land in Katri area in five plots where illegal plotting was being done by Ram Babu, Monu Yadav and others. The enforcement team demolished the illegal construction.Meanwhile, KDA has made an appeal to the citizens to seek details from KDA about the layout before purchasing any plot in the KDA limit.
