Kanpur: In a thrilling encounter, Liverpool XI defeated Perf XI by 3 runs in JNT U-12 cricket tournament being played here at Kanpur Sough ground on Friday.Deciding to bat first, Liverpool XI posted a total of 9 for 165. Opener Rupesh contributed highest 41 runs. Perf XI, in reply, could collect 8 for 162 runs. Vedansh was their main scorer with unbeaten 88 runs plundering 9 boundaries and 2 sixes. Shivansh and Priyansh bagged two wickets each. In last ten minutes, Abhishek Thapa struck twice and bragught his team to parity. His brace tied the match. In penalty shoot out Super Striker won the match. Earlier Ajit Singh of the District Football Associaiton inaugurted the tournament.
