Kanpur: Sriram Public School scored 16 points to emerge champions in the KSS Zone B Chess Championship, which concluded at Durga Prasad Vidya Niketan School on Thursday.
As many as 145 boys from 29 schools participated in the two-day championship, which was played over five rounds. Har Milap Mission School finished second with 15.5 points, while DPS, Barra secured third place with 15 points.
Board-wise best performers: Board 1 – Moulik Gupta, Board 2 – Shaurya Parihar, Board 3 – Arnav Singh, Board 4 – Astik Shukla, Board 5 – Shubh Patel.
