2 killed in hit and run on Koyla Nagar flyover

Kanpur: Two security guards riding a bike were killed in Chakeri, Kanpur, after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Koyla Nagar flyover in the early hours of Sunday.Upon receiving information, police reached the accident site, informed the family members and sent the bodies for post-mortem.The deceased, Sagar Kamal (22) and Alok Kamal (23), residents of Katra Bhainson, Sachendi worked at an army camp near COD, and commuted to the office everyday at 5am.Family members informed that both were wearing helmets at the time of the accident, but the impact of the collision sent the helmets flying off.Chakeri police station in-charge, Ajay Kumar Mishra said that further action would be taken after a written complaint. Police said efforts were underway to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.
