Haflong celebrates 75th NCHAC Foundation Day
Silchar: The 75th Foundation Day of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) was celebrated with grandeur at the NCHAC secretariat field at Haflong on Monday.Council leaders highlighting peace, preservation of tribal traditions and regional development on the occasion.Addressing the gathering, chief executive member Debolal Gorlosa extended greetings to the people of the district and stressed the importance of maintaining peace and harmony among all communities. He thanked various tribal organisations and residents for preserving the district’s communal harmony and cultural ethos.Several welfare and development initiatives were announced during the event. The council announced an enhancement in the remuneration of Gaon Buras to Rs 5,000 per month.
