Fire in transformer at DD Prasar Bharti office, no casualties

New Delhi: A fire broke out in a transformer outside DD Prasar Bharti’s office in central Delhi’s Copernicus Marg on Saturday afternoon.

According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call was received about the fire around 2.05 pm, after which eight fire tenders with around 48 fire personnel rushed to the spot. The fire was doused by 2.50 pm.

Officials said that since the transformer was outside the main building, not much damage was reported and the fire was easily doused. No injuries or casualties have been reported either. A probe is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the fire.
