MP crosses 47 deg, highest of season so far

Bhopal: There was no respite from the peak of heat in the state. The day temperatures remained around 45 degrees while the night temperatures were close to 30 degrees over many places in the state.The temperature in Khajuraho was almost 47.5 degrees celsius. It was the highest temperature of the state this season so far. No respite from heat was foreseen for the next five days.The day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 42.6 degrees celsius, a degree more than the normal mark, while the night temperature in the city was 29.6 degrees celsius, three degrees more than the normal mark.Day temperature in Khajuraho was 47.4 degrees celsius.In the past 24 hours till 8.30 am on Wednesday, heat wave was observed in Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Ratlam, Rewa, Satna, Khajuraho, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Sheopur, Datia, Guna and Gwalior dist. Severe heat wave was observed in Naogaon.
