Man molests 7-year-old girl, held

Bhopal: A 30-year-old man molested a 7-year-old girl in the city. The ordeal occurred at a construction site located directly across from the minor girl's residence. The man was arrested by police on Thursday, after the survivor's family apprehended the accused and handed him over. A case was filed against the accused under relevant sections of BNS and POCSO Act, cops said.According to police, the survivor is a Class 2 student. The ordeal took place when the girl was playing outside her home. The survivor reported that while she was playing, the accused, who was a worker at the construction site , approached her and subjected her to indecent acts. The child rushed home in tears and narrated the ordeal to her parents. "The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigations are on in the case ," a police officer told TOI.
