Bhopal: Police in Ashok Nagar registered an FIR against five men and others after two brothers, Rameshwari Soni and Nand Kishore Soni, committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near Mata Mandir on May 15.
Investigators said a suicide note recovered from the spot mentioned financial transactions and property disputes. It alleged that the accused abused and threatened the brothers over the phone. Based on this, the police named Bhanu Soni, Atul Soni, and Santosh Jain of Ashok Nagar, along with Shiv Pratap Raghuvanshi and Ramkumar Raghuvanshi of Kukreta, in the case.
The note was sent to the forensic science laboratory in Bhopal for examination. Police also seized a pen drive containing phone call recordings made by the deceased, which is being analysed for corroboration.
Family members told police that the accused harassed the brothers, threatened to kill them, and even assaulted them in the past. Officials said the case is being investigated from all angles based of the note, statements, and technical evidence, and legal action will follow against those found responsible.
