Cong MLA escapes with bruises after SUV crashes, catches fire
Bhopal: Yogendra Singh aka ‘Baba’, the sitting Congress MLA from Lakhnadon in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district, escaped unharmed along with his driver and gunman after their vehicle crashed and caught fire on National Highway-34 in the early hours of Thursday.The accident took place around 7 am near Banjari village while the MLA was traveling from Jabalpur to Ghurwara village with his security escort.According to officials, the MLA’s SUV went out of control and rammed into the boundary wall of a roadside school after the driver tried toavoid hitting a cow.As the SUV burst into flames on impact, the MLA, along with his gunman Raju Dhurve and driver Anu managed to exit the vehicle before any harm could come to them.All three occupants escaped with minor injuries.A team from the nearby Dhuma police rushed to the scene after being alerted about the accident and put out the flames with the help of locals.
