The Hindi version of 'Drishyam 3' has reportedly crossed an important milestone as filming for the project has now been completed. The movie is moving into the post-production phase ahead of its planned theatrical release later this year.
The film serves as the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam 'Drishyam' franchise led by Mohanlal.

Director shares update on film progress

Abhishek Pathak recently shared a fresh update regarding the film's journey. Through social media, he revealed that a major phase of production had officially reached completion. The filmmaker also posted behind-the-scenes visuals from the sets while confirming the latest development. Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak and director Abhishek Pathak later discussed the film's current status during a conversation with Pinkvilla. They added, “We are currently working on some patchwork and will release it on October 2. There’s a lot of excitement around the film. What people are seeing right now in Malayalam Drishyam is different.”
Hindi version of 'Drishyam 3' to follow a different narrative style
Abhishek Pathak also opened up about the creative direction of the Hindi adaptation. According to the filmmaker, the new film has been developed differently while keeping Hindi audiences in mind. He said, “For the Hindi audience, I have created a completely different track that will work beautifully here.
The Malayalam version focuses more on family drama, while the Hindi version will lean more towards a family thriller. That’s the fabric of the film. When the trailer releases, audiences will see how different the two worlds are.”
Prakash Raj earlier shared his shooting update
Earlier, actor Prakash Raj had also given fans a small glimpse into the project after finishing his portions for the film. On May 23, he uploaded a picture from the sets on social media. The image showed the actor standing with his back facing the camera while a clapboard displaying Drishyam 3 could also be seen. The post quickly attracted attention from viewers eager to receive updates about the project. Sharing the post online, Prakash Raj wrote, “#Drishyam3 Hindi .. Just wrapped up a fantastic shoot with a wonderful team… thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this film. I’m sure you‘ll love it too… on to the next one @abhishekpathakk @kumarmangatpathak @panorama_studios".

Reports suggest that filming for the project had started in Goa during December. Meanwhile, the Malayalam version starring Mohanlal reached theatres in May 2026 and went on to perform strongly at the worldwide box office.
The Hindi adaptation is currently expected to arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
