Bhopal: Six juvenile offenders escaped from a juvenile home in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh after allegedly breaking the glass window of a bathroom, prompting a search operation by police and administration officials. Authorities said the juveniles managed to flee from the observation home situated in an area under Saman police station limits.
According to officials, the inmates were found missing during a routine check on Tuesday, following which staff members discovered the broken bathroom window. Police teams were deployed to search nearby areas and possible hideouts.
Authorities said the escaped juveniles were lodged at the facility in connection with different criminal cases, including murder, theft and other offences.
“All the juvenile offenders are aged between 15 and 16 years and belong to nearby districts. One of them is accused of murder. Our teams are on, and we are hopeful of finding them soon,” Saman police station in-charge

Police officials said alerts regarding the escaped juveniles have been circulated to nearby police stations and district units. CCTV footage and other available evidence are also being examined as part of the investigation.
The incident has raised concerns over security arrangements at the juvenile home, especially as similar escape incidents have been reported from the facility in the past. Further investigation is on.
