Factory worker ends life over relationship distress

Bengaluru: A 28-year-old garment factory worker allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Srigandhanagar in north Bengaluru after reportedly being distressed over the breakdown of a live-in relationship.The deceased, Tippeswamy, was a native of Chitradurga, police said. Based on a complaint filed by his parents, police registered a case of abetment to suicide against a woman.Police said the woman, a resident of Davanagere, is married and has two children. She reportedly met Tippeswamy through social media and the two moved to Bengaluru last year, where they rented a house in Srigandhanagar while working in a garment factory.Investigators said the woman returned to Davanagere around two weeks ago following differences between them. "Tippeswamy was reportedly depressed after she left. He was later found hanging in the house," an investigating officer said.MSID:: 130978233 413 |
