Chikkaballapura: A teenage girl allegedly created a disturbance at the govt general hospital in Chikkaballapura on Saturday evening after entering wards in an inebriated condition and disrobing herself, police said.
The girl, identified as Nalina from SK Halli village near Nandi, was reportedly staying at the hospital as an attendant for her mother, who has been undergoing treatment there for the past 20 days. According to hospital staff, she moved around the wards creating panic among patients and attendants.
Officials said nurses and other staff members attempted to restrain her and provide clothing, but she allegedly turned aggressive and tried to assault those intervening. Members of the women's assistance wing, Akka Pade, attached to the police department, later arrived at the hospital and brought the situation under control.
Superintendent of Police Kushal Chousky said the girl appeared to be drunk. No FIR has been registered in connection with the incident so far.
2 held for supplying hydro ganja to students
Bengaluru: Anti-narcotics wing of Central Crime Branch (CCB) has busted a drug trafficking racket involving two men accused of supplying banned narcotic substances to students in the city.
In his complaint, inspector Rakshit AK said that on May 6 around 9.30pm, police received credible information that two individuals, identified as Hamza Ahammed and Mohammed Yasir from Kasaragod in Kerala, were near the football stadium on Magrath Road carrying hydro ganja.
According to police, they were planning to sell the narcotic substance to college students and other customers.
Investigators suspect the duo procured the drugs at lower rates from unidentified sources and were operating a small-scale supply network targeting young consumers in Bengaluru.
A case has been registered at Ashok Nagar Police Station under NDPS Act.
