Two held in ex-gram pradhan’s murder case

Prayagraj: Kaushambi police on Wednesday arrested two men in connection with the killing of ex-gram pradhan Manoj Kumar, 45, who was shot dead by three unknown bike-borne assailants near his house at village Alamchandra on May 4.Police also recovered a country-made pistol of 0.315 bore and a bike used during the crime from Sulkhan Singh and Neeraj, both residents of Patti Narwar village.The incident was a fallout of a monetary dispute. Cops are also looking for a third assailant identified as Sooraj, a resident of Alamchandra village.They said it was Sooraj who hatched the conspiracy to kill Manoj over a monetary dispute. Both arrested accused are close relatives.
