Ahmedabad: Youth detained over loud motorcycle noise
Ahmedabad: A 19-year-old was booked in Ahmedabad for allegedly modifying a motorcycle silencer and creating excessive noise on a public road, police said.
Police cited a city notification stating that noise levels between 6am and 10pm must not exceed 55 decibels. They said the recorded level was well above the permitted limit and violated the police commissioner’s public order notification.
The motorcycle was seized, the youth was detained, and further investigation is underway.
