It's not a sight you'll see often. This enterprising minister from New Zealand cycled one kilometre from her home to the hospital when she was 42 weeks pregnant - to deliver her first child. In an Instagram post, Julie Anne Genter - who happens to be the country's minister for women - explained why she chose this unusual mode of transport. "My partner and I cycled because there wasn't enough room in the car." she said, adding "it put me in the best possible mood." Genter is only the third world leader to give birth while in office and the second from New Zealand. Just a few weeks ago, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern returned to work after giving birth to her first child. Before that, it was as far back as 28 years ago when Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto gave birth in the year 1990 while she was prime minister.
