A dramatic escalation in rhetoric from Iran has raised fresh concerns over its missile capabilities and regional security. Iranian lawmaker Hosseinali Hajideligani claimed that Tehran possesses advanced missile systems capable of delivering destruction comparable to a tactical nuclear strike. He pointed to the Sejjil missile, a solid-fueled, two-stage system with a reported range of up to 4,000 km, capable of striking regional targets within minutes. The lawmaker also referenced another system, “Rastakhiz,” alleging it has dual warhead capabilities, including a potential electromagnetic pulse (EMP) effect designed to disrupt power grids and defense systems. Additionally, he claimed Iran has missiles capable of splitting into dozens of sub-warheads mid-flight—potentially overwhelming air defense systems like THAAD and Patriot missile system.
