Actor and activist Ashley Judd delivered a deeply emotional commencement address at the New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island, where she was also awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters for her work in arts, human rights, and social justice. Speaking to graduates, Judd reflected on trauma, mental health, and self-awareness, urging students to “go in and deep” and address their inner struggles before impacting others around them. Known for her activism in the #MeToo movement, women’s rights advocacy, and her work as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, Judd also shared personal reflections on healing, community, and resilience. She continues to balance activism with acting, with her upcoming film 21 Down set for release later this year.
