In a startling incident, a powerful explosion erupted near the BSF Punjab Frontiers headquarters in Jalandhar on Tuesday evening, targeting a courier's scooter. The injured, identified as Gurpreet Singh, has expressed concern that the blast was the result of a bomb thrown at him.

Late at night in Amritsar's Khasa area, a loud explosion emanating from a stationary two-wheeler rattled the atmosphere near crucial military sites belonging to the BSF and Army. Fortunately, no one was hurt; however, the explosion did cause significant damage to the outer walls of nearby establishments.

A BSF jawan, Jaswinder Singh, died with 34 severe injuries, including to private parts, as per autopsy. Despite the brutal findings, the BSF may not formally pursue the case as he was on leave. He was apprehended by the NCB while on leave, allegedly in connection with his brother's NDPS case.
