A 28-year-old woman in Bijnor allegedly died by suicide after cyber fraudsters, posing as law enforcement, harassed and blackmailed her with threats of "digital arrest." The scam was revealed when her phone rang with repeated calls during funeral preparations. Police are now investigating the cybercrime network after recovering a diary note detailing the victim's fear and distress.

A Child Welfare Committee member in Ramanagara, Haniyur Chandregowda, faces arrest for allegedly blackmailing a woman with explicit photos and videos, forcing her into a sexual relationship. Police discovered similar compromising material of other women on his phone. He also reportedly defrauded her of lakhs and used her documents fraudulently.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested in Bhilwara for allegedly recording and circulating an obscene video of herself to frame her husband. Police investigations revealed a premeditated plan involving a fake social media account and an associate to falsely implicate the husband and create grounds for separation.

“Just because you have lost in the elections, don’t think that you have been punished. I will lodge a defamation case, and if needed, will go to the Supreme Court. I will fight till the end,” he wrote on Facebook stories, as quoted by Sportstar.
