Rajendran.R of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the Neyveli constituency with a margin of 10962 votes. He garnered 63731 votes, while Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate Saba.Rajendran came second with 52769 votes.

Mohan. K of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the Panruti constituency with a margin of 10663 votes. He garnered 78398 votes, while Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi candidate Abdur Rahman. A.R came second with 67735 votes.

The Madras high court has rejected actor Tamanna Bhatia's plea for compensation. She sought Rs 1 crore from Power Soaps Limited. The company allegedly used her images to sell products beyond their agreement period. Bhatia claimed her pictures appeared on soap wrappers manufactured after her endorsement contract ended. Notices sent to the company and its agency received evasive replies.

Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK) founder T Velmurugan has exited the DMK-led alliance over seat-sharing disputes, stating his party won't join the BJP either due to religious division. Velmurugan expressed frustration with the DMK's "big brother attitude" and alleged Chief Minister Stalin is influenced by RSS-aligned officials on caste surveys. TVK will decide its next move, potentially contesting alone.

Tamilaga Valvurimai Katchi (TVK) leader T Velmurugan accused the DMK of pushing his party out of the alliance, citing a refusal to offer more than one seat. Despite scaling down demands, TVK feels insulted and is likely to quit the DMK-led front after a high-level meeting. Filmmaker Gautham Menon and his firm Photon Factory have lost a legal battle at the Madras High Court. The court upheld a prior ruling, ordering them to pay Rs 4.25 crore with 12% annual interest from May 2010 to R.S. Infotainment. This stems from a film production deal that never materialized, leading to a prolonged dispute over the advance payment.

Kamal said that Velmurugan has achieved a lot already and he should boast off of them frequently.

The Madras High Court has dismissed the Tamil Nadu government's appeal against the acquittal of nine aides of forest brigand Veerappan in the 2000 Kannada actor Rajkumar abduction case. A trial court had acquitted the surviving nine accused in September 2018, a decision now upheld by the High Court after a five-year appeal process.

In the latest promo, Velmurugan can be seen getting into a heated argument with Suresh Chakravarthy, the captain of the house, over a dhoti. In the video, Velmurugan is seen confronting Suresh for ridiculing him by talking about the topic of lending dhoti to him. He says he hasn't asked for the dhoti in the first place. Suresh defends his act adding that he has no intent to offend him and further tells Velmurugan that he is overreacting without knowing the truth.

Velmurugan seems to have taken serious offence by the comments of Suresh Chakravarthy.
