The CBI today said that the weapon used in the murder of RTI activist Shehla Masood has been recovered at the instance of Saqib Ali who is accused of hiring contract killers to murder her.

The sleuths of Special Task Force (STF) arrested a sharp shooter in connection with the high profile RTI activist Shehla Masood murder case, from the Beconganj area of the city late on Tuesday night.

Sharpshooter Irfan, now in custody of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), had shot RTI activist Shehla Masood in her neck around 11.19 amkilling her on the spot outside her house in Koh-e-Fiza locality on August 16 last year.
