MUMBAI: Actor-turned-MP Govinda's brother, Kirti Kumar has complained to the police of being threatened by four armed men while travelling in his car on Monday.

Kirti clarified that while there were rumors about a thigh injury, it was indeed his toe that was hurt. He emphasized that what mattered most was Govinda's recovery rather than the exact location of the injury; he said that there is ‘nothing to worry about; the point is not whether he got shot in his thigh or toe but that he is now improving.’

Post her visit to the hospital, where the actor is receiving treatment for the bullet injury he sustained to his leg, she informed reporters that Govinda is "better" and will be discharged in two days (then). In a statement reported by ANI, she said, "Govinda is better. We will admit him to the normal ward today. He is much better than yesterday."

World NRI Social and Cultural Associations of America has honoured Govinda with doctorate for his excellence in Indian cinema. His brother Kirti Kumar also been honoured.

Kirti Kumar who hailed from Bihar ended his life at a time when the institute was swayed by the enthralling performance of "Allah ke bande" fame Kailash Kher during the BIT fest a day ago.
