Kabir Khan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. He was born to Rasheeduddin Khan, one of the founding professors of Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a Telugu mother Leela. Khan started his career at age 25 working in documentary films such as - Beyond the Himalayas (1996) and The Forgotten Army (1999). He made his feature film directorial debut in 2006 with Kabul Express which was followed by New York (2009), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and Phantom (2015). His next film, Tubelight (2017), is based on the Indo-Chinese war and features Salman Khan. It also marks the Bollywood debut of Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.
