The
Election Commission of India (EC) on Sunday, March 16, 2024, announced the upcoming
Lok Sabha election dates. As per EC's announcement, the
General elections in Maharashtra will be held in five phases starting April 19, 2024. The counting of the votes will be done collectively across the nation on June 4, 2024. Voting in Maharashtra will be held for 48 Lok Sabha seats. The model code of conduct has come into force starting the evening of March 16 and will remain in force even after the polling on April 19 till the entire process of counting is completed on June 4.
