“Nobody deserves to die like that” - Michael Porter Jr. mourns the sudden demise of American political activist Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk’s death has been a shock to everyone. Not just in the world of politics, but its impact can also be felt in the world of sports. Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. took to his Instagram and posted about the unfortunate incident. The player believed that Charlie didn’t deserve the kind of death he got. Even though Michael never saw his stuff, the Nets star sympathized with the American political activist and author’s family.Reacting to Charlie Kirk’s death, Michael Porter Jr. posted two stories on Instagram. It is a big thing coming from someone who hardly posts anything on social media. Michael’s Instagram has just 1 post. Commenting on Kirk’s death, Michael posted the first story, writing, “I just seen the Charlie Kirk video…No way, bro!!” The player posted the story right after watching the video that went viral. It featured Kirk being shot and chaos erupting right after.Just a couple of hours later, Michael posted another story. In this story, the player expressed his condolences for the sudden demise of the political activist. Michael wrote, “RIP to Charlie SMH…I never watched his stuff but nobody deserves to die like that. Man had a wife and kids…He was killed for sharing his opinions and giving an opportunity to share theirs as well. This is sad man…Praying for the family!”Charlie was a close ally of President Donald Trump. The incident took place at a Utah College event. The act drew renewed attention to the threat of political violence across the United States.Charlie Kirk did not have an official position in the White House. But he had close ties with Donald Trump and his family. Kirk co-founded and was the CEO of Turning Point. The organization worked to spread conservative ideologies amongst the youth. His podcast was considered one of the key factors influencing the presidential election in Trump’s favor. On September 10, 2025, Kirk was at a Utah College event. He was speaking at the event when he got shot in the neck. Kirk was immediately hospitalized, but he died shortly after. A man was arrested on the spot, but has not been proven guilty. The suspect was later released. A door-to-door manhunt is underway.
