A case study of chronic cervical spondylosis successfully managed
Shekhar Kandpal, a 66-year-old resident of Almora, Uttarakhand, had been suffering from chronic cervical spondylosis for nearly thirty-five years. The condition was recurrent in nature, with symptoms fluctuating from mild discomfort to severe pain and stiffness. During acute phases, the intensity of the problem significantly affected his daily routine, causing physical discomfort as well as mental stress. Despite continuous treatment over the years, he was unable to obtain long-term relief. In search of a more holistic and effective solution, Mr. Kandpal came to know about Patanjali Wellness, Haridwar. With hope for lasting recovery, he was admitted on 2 April 2024 and treated under the guidance of experienced Ayurvedic physicians. After a detailed clinical evaluation, an individualized treatment protocol was designed, focusing on addressing the root cause of the disease rather than providing only temporary symptomatic relief. During his stay at Patanjali Wellness, he underwent specialized Ayurvedic therapies aimed at reducing chronic inflammation, relieving muscular stiffness, and improving circulation in the cervical region.
Alongside these therapies, a structured yoga and pranayama program was introduced as an essential component of his treatment plan.

The yoga regimen consisted of therapeutic asanas such as Bhujangasana, Shavasana, Setu Bandhasana, Pawanmuktasana, Shalabhasana, Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Vakrasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Gomukhasana, Mandukasana, Yog Mudra, Chakki Chalan, Dhanurasana, Naukasana, Uttanpadasana, yogic jogging, and specific neck and knee exercises. All practices were conducted under expert supervision to ensure safety and effectiveness.

As a result of this integrated Ayurvedic and yogic approach, Mr. Kandpal experienced significant improvement during the treatment period itself. By the end of his stay, he reported more than eighty percent relief from pain, stiffness, and discomfort. His neck mobility improved considerably, and he felt a noticeable enhancement in overall physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional well-being.Upon discharge on 8 April 2024, Mr. Kandpal expressed confidence that continued adherence to the prescribed yoga, pranayama, and lifestyle recommendations would help him achieve complete recovery. This case demonstrates the effectiveness of Patanjali Wellness’s holistic model of healthcare in managing long-standing chronic conditions, such as cervical spondylosis, and improving the patient’s overall quality of life through natural and sustainable methods.Disclaimer: All testimonials are provided by Patanjali
