UP shocker: Roadshow, garlands, rousing welcome for rape accused after bail in Ghaziabad; Akhilesh Yadav slams BJP government

Out On Bail, Rape Accused Gets Grand Welcome In UP's Ghaziabad
NEW DELHI: A shocking video emerged from UP's Ghaziabad where an allaged rape accused received a rousing welcome from his supporters after being granted bail.Videos from the scene showed supporters lifting him onto their shoulders, chanting slogans and accompanying him in a procession resembling a victory parade, complete with handshakes, cheers and smiling crowds.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav slammed the Yogi Adityanath government in UP, calling it the "true character of the ‘unrighteous BJP’"."Nothing can be more reprehensible than the way in which the ‘rape accused’ senior official of that very brigade—which the Chief Minister of the state has only recently lavished with fulsome praise—has been welcomed with a shower of petals and garlands upon being granted bail," he said in a post on X."It seems the honourable ones are weeding out their die-hard supporters in order to contest the next election independently. Come tomorrow, this rape accused, released on bail, will be seen raising slogans in support of ‘women’s reservation’," he added.
