Thiruporur (Constituency No. 33), located in the Chengalpattu district along the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR), is a unique blend of ancient heritage and modern rapid urbanisation. A socially diverse electorate, comprising traditional agrarian communities and a massive influx of IT professionals and migrant workers, makes it a critical barometer for balancing traditional infrastructure needs with the demands of a modern tech-driven population.
