NEW DELHI: Bikash Saikia of the AJP emerged victorious in the election, securing a total of 90368 votes. He defeated Congress candidate Pallabi Saikia GOGOI by a decisive margin of 22672 votes.

There were a total of 197964 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2026 Assembly election in Teok Assembly constituency, of whom 96485 were male, 101479 female and 0 belonged to the third gender.
Exit polls released on Wednesday evening for the high-stakes Assam battle indicate a clear majority for the incumbent Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government, with most pollsters favouring the BJP to secure a third consecutive term in the tea-producing state.
Teok Assembly constituency is a general (unreserved) seat located in Jorhat district of Assam.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,36,829 registered voters, with 1,03,872 valid votes cast.
Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Renupoma Rajkhowa won the seat with 47,555 votes. Congress candidate Pallabi Gogoi finished second with 46,205 votes, losing by a narrow margin of 1,350 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Teok had 1,18,981 electors, with 95,446 valid votes recorded. AGP candidate Renupoma Rajkhowa won the seat with 40,928 votes, defeating Congress candidate Pallabi Saikia Gogoi, who secured 35,879 votes.
Following the 2023 delimitation exercise, more than 60,000 voters were reportedly added to the constituency.
