Sankari election results 2026: AIADMK's Vetrivel S wins with 87342 votes

In Sankari, AIADMK's Vetrivel S emerged as the winner with 87342 votes. This victory was recorded by a margin of 9517 votes, against Senthilkumar K of TVK. Sankari Assembly constituency is located in Salem district of Tamil Nadu and forms part of the Namakkal Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2016 Assembly elections, the constituency had 2,56,847 electors, with 2,15,863 valid votes polled. AIADMK candidate Raja S secured victory with 96,202 votes, defeating INC candidate Rajeswaran T K, who polled 58,828 votes. The margin of victory stood at 37,374 votes, reflecting a strong performance by the AIADMK in the constituency.Earlier, in the 2011 Assembly elections, Sankari had 2,14,637 electors, with 1,84,859 valid votes recorded.
