Pakabetbari Assembly Elections 2026: Jakir Hussain Sikdar wins for Congress, registers 65,267-vote lead

In Pakabetbari, Jakir Hussain Sikdar of Congress secured a landslide victory, polling 1,57,748 votes and defeating AIUDF’s Minakshi Rahman by a margin of 65,267 votes. AGP’s Dr Tara Prasad Das finished a distant third with 9,246 votes, as the constituency delivered an emphatic mandate in favour of Congress.Pakabetbari Assembly constituency is located in the state of Assam and falls within the Barpeta district.
