Kalyani election results 2026: BJP's Anupam Biswas wins against TMC's Atindra Nath Mondal

NEW DELHI: BJP's Anupam Biswas won against TMC's Atindra Nath Mondal from Kalyani.Kalyani is a Scheduled Caste-reserved constituency in Nadia district, forming part of the Bangaon Lok Sabha seat. It covers the planned township of Kalyani — a significant urban centre known for its university and research institutions — alongside surrounding rural areas. In 2026, TMC has fielded Dr Atindra Nath Mondal against BJP's Anupam Biswas.In the 2021 Assembly elections, BJP's Ambika Roy won the seat with 97,026 votes, defeating TMC's Aniruddha Biswas by a narrow margin of just 2,206 votes — one of the closest contests in the district that year.
