In the early hours of Saturday, multiple explosions were heard across various locations in Pakistan, indicating a likely Indian counteroffensive. Pakistan later claimed that three of its air bases—Nur Khan air base in Rawalpindi near Islamabad, Murid air base in Chakwal, and Rafiqui air base in Jhang district of eastern Punjab—were among those targeted.
