MHA at a meeting chaired by HM Amit Shah today reviewed Covid-19 containment strategy in Delhi in light of recommendations by V K Paul committee
It has proposed fresh delineation of containments zones, strict monitoring, aggressive contact tracing & quarantining. Committee has called for enlisting and monitoring of households outside containment zones as well. Covid positive cases should be spread across hospitals, Covid care centres or placed under home isolation. Covid care centres should engage independent and NGO volunteers. A serological survey to be undertaken in Delhi between June 27 and July 10 covering 20,000 residents whose samples will be tested. This will help assess the extent of spread of infection in Delhi and help in formulating a comprehensive strategy.

"District deputy commissioners have been asked to issue extension of night curfew orders and directives to extend ban on inter-state movement of people," a senior government official told.
